I thought this website did a really good job in explaining what a conditioned response is. It is a lot easier to understand then we all think. After looking at the chart in class I myself got confused. IT seemed like too much was going on and things were switching names, etc. I quickly learned that it is simple. In the end, the neutral stimuli ends up causing a conditioned response. In the example in the website, the neutral stimuli is the word "no" which causes the conditioned response of stopping whatever you are doing. The thing that I didn't get was how the Operant response can cancel out a conditioned response. Would it be if you were to give the guy candy and saying sorry after they stop what they're doing because you said no? In the end would they think they didn't do a bad thing because they are getting candy and an apology?
